In 2022, I upgraded my project site to Umbraco 10 on .net 6.0 and now to Umbraco 13 on .net 8.0, while also migrating to Linux hosting and improving sustainability and performance. The upgrade involved challenges with database migration, custom functionality, and UI adjustments.

To migrate forms from Umbraco 7 to modern, use uSync.Forms and a trick to go from 7 to 8, then 8 to modern. Copy files, run a PowerShell script, and import in the modern site.
